A Memoir of the Future (2019)

Giovanna Rigattieri was born in Venice in 1983. Graduated in 2007 at Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, she has been actively engaged in painting for several years.

After a long pictorial research, she starts in 2017 to experiment photography and printing on different materials, such as tracing paper and aluminium, layers of images, places and people around her.

All the works displayed at her personal exposition “A Memoir of the Future”, curated by Orseola Barozzi and Luca Caldironi, are a graphical/pictorial exploration of a new artistic communication, aiming to find again an antique beauty and an aesthetic value that seems to be forgotten too often.
